The Power of "Right Now"
"Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path." — Proverbs 4:25-26

We spend so much of our lives being "time travelers." We drag the failures of the past into today, or we try to solve the problems of next year before they even arrive. But God doesn't meet us in the "was" or the "will be"—He meets us in the "Is." To be rooted means to acknowledge that today has enough grace for today’s troubles. When you stop looking back at what you lost and stop obsessing over what you might lose, you finally have the strength to handle what you actually have. True peace isn't found in a perfect future; it’s found in a centered present, trusting that the Master who holds the universe also holds this exact second.
Today, when your mind starts to wander to a "yesterday" regret or a "tomorrow" worry, physically stop for a moment. Take a breath and say, "Lord, I am here, and You are here with me." Focus on one task—whether it’s a conversation, a meal, or a job—and do it with your full heart, leaving the rest in His hands.
