Sufficient for the Day

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." — Matthew 6:34

We weren’t designed to carry the weight of a week, a month, or a year all at once. When we worry about tomorrow, we are trying to solve problems that don't exist yet with strength we haven't been given yet. God promises "daily bread" and daily strength—not a lifetime supply upfront. If you are feeling overwhelmed, it’s likely because you’ve moved your focus off the current step and onto the distant horizon. The Master knows what's coming, and He’ll have the resources ready when you get there. For now, just focus on doing the next right thing.

Identify one "tomorrow worry" that is stealing your peace today. Physically write it down, then fold the paper and put it away. Say, "Lord, I’ll deal with this when it gets here. Right now, I’m focusing on what You’ve put in front of me today." ---
